About the Event

A vibrant event aimed at growing 10 million trees and restoring Narok landscapes.

Mau Mara Run— a vibrant and action-driven event aimed at growing 10 million trees, restoring degraded landscapes in the Mau-Mara ecosystem, and strengthening community resilience to the climate crisis in Narok County, Kenya.

This event is not just about tree planting — it is a movement to revive ecosystems, empower local communities, and protect one of Kenya's most vital water towers for future generations.

Since 2011, Nguzo Africa has been growing trees in Narok and championing for landscapes restoration for ecosystem health benefits. Through support from I&M Foundation, Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF) and the county government of Narok, we have grown more than 250,000 trees in 55 schools, public and community spaces.
